Welcome everyone!

My name is Christina Reich. Even though I am fourty-something, I feel as though my journy of self-discovery is still in full throttle. Growing up in the outskirts of amish country in Pennsylvania, I longed to by a city girl. City living seemed to be the key to accessing art, music, and culture. The modern buildings, concerts in the park, and museums were out there, somewhere, waiting for me. These were things I felt were lacking in the day-to-day life lving in "the sticks". I left my little country town and moved to the city. And so, the journey began.

More than twenty years have passed since I packed my bags and headed towards the beckoning lights of the big city. Since then, I have been taking in al of the new experiences on the side of the road. Sticking my head out of the window and drawing them in on a breath of fresh air. Each breath somehow becoming a part of me and molding me into the person that is still evolving today.

Presently, I am embarking on a new leg of the journey. I traded my sports car for a more practical minivan and packed the back with five children, two dogs, and my fiance. According to the map, there will be plenty of stops, turns, roadblocks, and of course the dreaded construction zones on the way to earning a BSN. At some point, I might even be traveling in circles.

Traveling in a straight line is not always the best route. The scenic route lends a greater opportunity to breathe more in. Now, with map in hand, the van packed, and the keys in the ignition I say, "Let the new journey begin!"
